There will be no AM practice/conditioning for boys bball during the week of 11/18-11/22. Evening practices will go as scheduled. Football participants will be given 3 days to transition. If you report to practice before the 3 days, you are expected to be at practice from then on.
Students in Mrs. Alley's College & Career Readiness class participated in Mock Interviews this week. They spent the previous week researching the attributes of a good employee, interview attire, etiquette, and skills, and practicing their interviews with classmates. Thank you so much to all of the community members who helped us make these interviews successful!
All active military & veterans and 1 guest are admitted free to tonight's sectional football game. Mention to our gate workers or present your IDs upon arrival. We will also have a presentation of the large flag again this week. All veterans are encouraged to participate.
As we get ready for tonight's game, we would like to remind Cobra Country that this is a KSHSAA Sectional Playoff game. In saying this, we can accept none of our senior citizen passes, punch cards, or league passes are accepted. We also must charge for attendance for everyone coming to the game, including JH students.
Tonight's game is $8 for adults and $6 for students.
We have been authorized to give free access to all Veterans plus one guest tonight.
Also a quick rule 52 reminder that we can not utilize any artificial noise makers of any kind during the game. This means nothing artificial (Cow bells, clappers, boom sticks, the cannon...) can be used tonight.
For tomorrow night's game, 266th road will be switching to a 2 lane one way road from 4:00-7:00. The south lane will be for Visitor (Rossville) fans that will be parking in visitor parking. The North lane will be for our Home fans that will park in the home parking lot. It is also highly recommended to use the East entrance to avoid the excess traffic.
Since we are all well aware of the importance of Fridays games, we should also be aware of how much this needs to be an all hands on deck game. We will need one more ticket worker Friday night. This position will need to be in place during the bulk of need in the 5:30-7:00 gap. This person would still be able to watch the majority of the game.
I also need someone willing to supervise the parking attendants in the west parking lot until the game starts. If you are willing/able or willing/able to sacrifice a spouse please let Mr. Smith know. derek.smith@jhcobras.net
We need our Cobra family on this one.
The Fall 2024 Adam Bloom Memorial Washburn Tech Scholarship recipients have been announced! Thank you Susan Bloom for your time and dedication to these students. Congratulations to Brynn Shupe, Dillon Childs, and Jace Robinson!
UPDATE PER KSHSAA:
Veterans and one guest are permitted free entrance to the Sectional Round games this Friday in honor of Veterans Day. Upon arrival, be sure to let our gate workers know if you are a veteran.
