School pictures are a couple weeks away. This year pictures will be taken on September 9 and 10 by the trees near the gazebo. If it is wet that day, a blue photo backdrop will be used in the gazebo.
The MS football team was introduced at the pep rally on Thursday. Their first game is September 3rd at Jackson Heights. Go Cobras!

The JHHS Cobra football team will not play their first game at Oskaloosa on September 4 or the home game against Horton on September 11. This is due to team quarantine and the required number of practices before games. At this time, the games have not been rescheduled.
JHHS students enjoyed playing Can Jam outside during Miss Stewart's PE class this week.

The USD 335 Board of Education will discuss the first day of school date during a special meeting on Monday, July 27 at 7:00 PM. After the school start date is confirmed, an announcement will be put on district social media.
The Kansas State Board of Education voted on executive order 58 to delay the start of school until Sept. 9, which is a new procedure for statewide school closure in House Bill 2016. To go into effect, the order needed 6 yes votes. By a 5-5 vote, the executive order wasn't upheld.

Brooke Slipke, French Horn, was accepted to the Kansas Bandmasters Association Middle Level Honor Band this summer. This project was completely virtual, and we congratulate Brooke on earning this great musical honor.
