Bus

We are pleased to announce all of our bus drivers will be returning for the 2020-21 school year and wanted to make sure everyone knows the precautions that will be put in place on the school bus to help keep every Cobra healthy.

Drivers will….

·        Check student temperatures with a contactless thermometer as they enter the bus.  (Students with fevers will not stay on the bus.)

·        Provide hand sanitizer as students get on the bus.

·        Seat students by household where feasible.

·        Maintain a seating chart with students spread out to the extent possible.

·        Wear a face covering.

·        Disinfect buses daily.

·        Open windows and roof hatch as weather allows for ventilation.

Students will…

·        Comply with temperature check.

·        Not ride the bus to school if they have a fever.

·        Use hand sanitizer as they enter the bus.

·        Sit in an assigned seat.

·        Maintain social distance from the driver and other students.

·        Wear a face covering.

What can parents do to help at home?

·        Do a temperature check at home.  A fever is defined as a temperature of 100.4° or more.  Students with fevers should be at home for 72 hours without fever reducing medication.

·        If your child does not feel well, please do not send them to school.

·        Notify the bus driver ASAP in the morning if your child does not feel well.
