Jackson Heights High School takes great pride in recognizing the hard work and dedication of its February Students of the Month: Jennifer Buck and Jace Robinson.

Jennifer Buck has truly made her mark during her time at Jackson Heights. She has participated in softball, cross country, basketball, track, FFA, FCA, JCYC, honor flight guardian, and Cobra mentors. During her free time, Jennifer loves to play slow pitch and hang out with her family and friends.

When asked to share her funniest high school memory, Jennifer shared the following memory. “One time Savannah and I were walking down the hallway and we were trying to eat a fruit rollup out of the air and I tripped and we dropped a large sonic Dr. Pepper all over the floor in the hallway.” The two friends had to clean up their mess in front of everyone walking by, and even went to Mr. Smith, to ask to review the spectacle on hallway video.

Jace Robinson has been active in basketball and shooting sports. His competitive nature extends to outdoor activities, as well. You can often find him team roping or enjoying a game of pickleball. Jace has demonstrated a strong sense of pride in his school and sports, stating “to be a cobra means to have a lot of pride in our school and sport programs.”

Jace would like to advise the underclassmen to listen to your teachers and complete your homework. After high school he plans to work on a ranch or as a diesel mechanic.

Together, Jennifer and Jace represent dedication to academic excellence and extracurricular involvement. As we acknowledge our seniors of the month, we encourage all students to follow the examples of hard work, dedication, and community reflected in both Jennifer and Jace. Congratulations to the February Seniors of The Month!
