This week, a deputy from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office stopped by Jackson Heights Elementary to connect with our preschoolers.
The deputy spent time sharing stories, answering questions, and talking about the important role police officers play in keeping our community safe. The students were thrilled to learn about law enforcement and had lots of curious questions, from “How do you help people?” to “Do you have a dog?”
Visits like these are a wonderful way to help our youngest learners understand and appreciate the role of community helpers while building trust with local law enforcement.
We’re grateful to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office for their dedication to building strong community connections and for spending time with our students.
