🚀 Exciting News: Robotics/Computer Science Summer Camp Sessions Coming in June! 🤖

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are thrilled to announce that JH will be participating in Project LEAPES (Learning, Exploration, and Application for Prospective Engineering Students), a grant from the United States Department of Defense NDEP Program designed to increase student awareness of STEM opportunities.

Our Robotics/Computer Science summer camp sessions will take place in June and are open to students attending JH grades 6-8 (students currently in 5th grade going into 6th grade can join as well). This camp is free, and we are working on arranging transportation. The camp will be located at JH schools (exact location to be announced at a later date).

With limited space available, classes will fill up quickly. Be on the lookout for a sign-up form in the next few weeks. Students may sign up for all three weeks of summer camp (each week will be different) or pick a particular week or two. Once signed up, students must attend the camp each day.

Camp hours will be from 9 am to 12 pm each day. Each session will be facilitated by K-State instructors via Zoom in the first part of the day, followed by hands-on activities with our JH teachers.

Week 1: Computer Science (June 3-6)
Week 2: Artificial Intelligence/Robotics (June 10-13)
Week 3: Aerospace/Drones (June 17-21, skipping June 19)

This is an extraordinary opportunity for our JH students to learn with professionals and get hands-on experience with real robots, drones, and other unique technologies.
