"Cupcakes with Cobras" Delight at Jackson Heights Elementary!
The air was filled with the irresistible scent of freshly baked cupcakes at Jackson Heights Elementary School (JHES) during the recent "Cupcakes with Cobras" event. Organized by the JHES Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) in collaboration with FCCLA and spearheaded by the talented Mrs. McKenzie, this baking bonanza was a sweet sensation!
A monumental task was at hand: bake and decorate a whopping 600 cupcakes from scratch, featuring delicious vanilla and chocolate flavors topped with luscious buttercream icing. The incredible success of this delicious feat wouldn't have been possible without the combined efforts and dedication of several students and faculty members.
Mrs. McKenzie took the lead in this delightful venture, supported by the enthusiastic participation of FCCLA, Career Life Planning, Culinary, and Family Studies. Together, this remarkable team poured their passion and expertise into crafting an impressive assortment of cupcakes, showcasing their baking finesse and creative flair.
The event saw remarkable involvement from our students, with notable contributions from Constance McAlpine, Danny Bottom, Emilee Webster, Elizabeth Schultz, Emma Newberry, Gracie White, Jennifer Mellies, Josie Jager, Sophia Ivy, Gage Edwards, and Duke Condo. Their hard work and dedication significantly contributed to making this delightful affair a resounding success.
"Cupcakes with Cobras" wasn't just about enjoying delicious treats; it also served as a fundraiser, supporting various educational programs and initiatives within our school. It was heartwarming to witness everyone relishing these scrumptious cupcakes while contributing to the betterment of our school community.
Adding to the excitement, even our beloved school mascot, Striker, made a surprise appearance! Striker's cheerful presence brought an extra dose of joy and enthusiasm to the event, making it an unforgettable experience for all who attended.
This event was a wonderful showcase of teamwork, creativity, and community spirit that thrives at Jackson Heights Elementary. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the PTO, FCCLA, Mrs. McKenzie, and all the students and faculty members involved, whose dedication made this event a delectable and successful celebration.
