Jackson Heights Band Students Excel in NEKMEA District Honor Ensembles
We are thrilled to announce the outstanding achievement of four talented Jackson Heights Band students who have been selected to participate in the North East Kansas Music Educators Association (NEKMEA) district honor ensembles. This accomplishment is a testament to their dedication, hard work, and exceptional musical abilities.
The students selected for the NEKMEA district honor ensembles are as follows:
NEKMEA Blue Band (1A-6A):
James Bottom: 1st Chair Tuba
NEKMEA 7/8 Honor Band:
April Slipke: Trumpet
Cameron Alley: Tenor Saxophone
Matthias Ramey: French Horn
Being chosen for these ensembles is a significant honor and demonstrates the remarkable musical talent that these students possess. They have dedicated countless hours to their instruments and to perfecting their musical skills, and this recognition is well-deserved.
